The Irony
There are always those moments on the job that make you step back and say, "Huh. How about that," and then continue scraping the petrified cheese off the quesadilla machine. Recently, our humble "restaurant" was visited by some local german soldiers. I finished up the order and called out the number, and, to my bemusement, they looked around at the other customers, then grunted and showed me their receipt, which matched the order. The irony? Three german soldiers at an american store that sells mexican food. The germans don't speak english, the english (americans, that is. Still with me?) dont speak spanish (mexican, hang in there...), and the mexican food then completes the circle by being eaten by the germans. That's the circle of taco life in full swing...

Working on leaving the living...irrelevent
I have now amassed 27 hours of quality taco bell work since last thurs! Now I will surely have enough to buy that kazoo amp I've been salivating over...
"Give It Wings"
Yes! Finally, I'm wrapping them there tacos and calling the numbers. I am the most powerful man alive! There are many things to keep in mind: what goes on a crunchwrap? Well, that's a secret; if I told you, I'd have to kill your curiosity. Also, when folding taco shaped foods (like tacos and chalupas), make you sure you give that bitch wings. My seldom posting colleagues know what I'm talking about, right guys? Another employee bit the dust, and our taco team has now become a rag tag bunch of vagabonds...a.k.a. a smaller staff. I heard from a co-worker that since the started (3 months ago) there have been "at least 10 people to join and then quit." I think I'm in there for the long haul, especially if my rock band doesnt get a gig and record deal soon (only kidding, folks. It's a ska band (only kidding, folks)).

Taco Bell.....And After Three Rounds...
I worked a total of 13.5 hours over the weekend at Taco Bell, and 13.35 hours of that was spent doing dishes and making chalupas/chips/salad bowl things. HOWEVER I was entrusted with about 5 minutes of register time when business got slow; then out of NOWHERE a line formed and after trying to work that daggum rejster, the manager said "you're done kid," and I handed her the ball and walked off the mound, and sulked back into the dugout. Tomorrow: 1600-2230, the longest one yet. Let's hope slothy cleans them dirty dishy and make em shiny!

Ah yes, the first day...
Today was my introduction to the taco bell work force. However, the introduction didn't encompass very much: I was doing dishes and making nachos and chalupas, which is what the trainees always start out with, from what I hear. However, since I worked the friday night 1800-2230 shift, I was BLESSED to learn about the pre-closing end eventually closing procedure: get that grease off things, finish the dishes and squeegee that floor. It's much more complicated than that, and you have to memorize what needs to be done, but today i mostly did what i was told...BIATCH! All in all the shift was very easy if you don't mind sticking your hands into boiling water or a nice murky pan of spicy chicken dish, although the time will soon come that i'm sliding tacos down the line... Hopefully that just makes time seem to go by faster. I go to bed tonight certain that i'll dream about dancing chalupas and bean dip, but that's the price you pay to work at taco bell.

Taco Bell Blog Signs My Sloth Died
Taco Bell Blog, located at the site you are looking at now, recently acquired 17 year old Phil, known as My Sloth Died to himself, who lives in Germany, yes, Germany. He will soon be working at Taco Bell, if he passes through the fall training camp (which will be documented EXCLUSIVELY on this site, stay tuned). The 5'10" rookie has no fast food experience, but he has one thing other food service employees lack: hustle.
Why did he decide to join the Taco Bell Team? "I grew up in front of the t.v., and found a hero in the talking chihuahua. I ran to my parents, and exclaimed 'one day, I'm going to work at taco bell!' My parents merely dismissed this as usual extravagent ideas that children often form, but here I am. I wish I could see everyone's stunned faces when they realize I'm the one dishing up those sweet soft tacos."
"Also, the $8.50 an hour is a nice bonus," My Sloth Died added.

Any questions just feel free to ask/comment, it is time to get this blog going again.
Over the next few days I will let you all know my usual routine on how we close, the low-down on our soon to release new item(and my terrible score on making it), a brief review of my co-workers, and of course a few insane and crazy stories that I promise are true. Till then later!!

The Great Taco Bell Robbery
Well although this isnt a recent event at Taco Bell,I thought I would tell you the story anyway. Well I was working the typical close like usual. This was back when psychotic Taco Bell shift manager Natalie was still working for Taco Bell. Well all was quiet the lobby and drive thru-s were closed, no lights on in lobby or outside. Well I see Natalie go into the office to count the days deposit. Than I hear the buzzer going off letting me know someone came into the restraunt. Well I was in the dish area and thought it was a off duty Taco Bell Employee comin in to say hi and maybe a quick Pepsi. By the time I get to the front i look and see this guy walking out the door now,not with cash or a register drawer, no he went for the big bucks, yes the Mop sign. But he placed it on the side of the building and came back in Taco Bell. I than seen it was a little punk. I was like wtf you doin punk. Get the fuck out of hear before i beat your f*cking ass b*tch. The kid left the store in a very fast fashion and all was well. Another super close by Super Employee James at Taco Bell

How does Taco Bell Prepare The Beef?
Well I had an email from someone curious about how Taco Bell prepares their beef. Well the beef comes bagged weighing 5lbs. a bag. We drop the beef in the "rethermolizer". Which is water heated to 190 degrees. It cooks in the bag like that for 30 minutes, or until t reaches a minimum serving temperature of 160 degrees.
We than pan up the beef and it sits in the "bevelace" until it is needed on the line. Well I hope that helps you as far as how Taco Bell prepares their beef.

Taco Bell Shift Manager Danyelle
Well last night I called Taco Bell, to talk to the Taco Bell shift manager Christine, and Danyelle answered the phone. Well I asked for Christine, and she said she isn't there. I'm like hmmm ok........When I, then asked for her husband, which is Taco Bell's newest employee Odell. She tells me he isn't there either. I'm like what a bit**. That's ok, because I still am the pimp of Taco Bell, I have the owners phone number on speed dial baby.

Friday Night Hell At Taco Bell
Today at Taco Bell was just awful. My gosh! Every redneck hillbilly in Pollock Pines must have wanted Taco Bell tonight. We had waits that were unreal. So listen up rednecks. Quit coming all at the same time dammit! You hicks come and order 30 or 40 items in drive-thru and the poor sap behind you has to wait 15 minutes for the 2 tacos he ordered. You people made me hate my job today. If you are ordering alot of stuff come INSIDE!!! We are timed in drive thru and we have only 69 seconds. Think of others you hicks. Well as you can tell was a crappy night at Taco Bell.

Taco Bell Audit
Well we got audited today at my Taco Bell. What is a audit? It is when the corporate Taco Bell goes around to franchised Taco Bells and makes sure they are performing to Taco Bells standards. They audited the store before my shift today. We got a 80%. That is a low score Iguess for audits. They had our new General Manager Evon working and a few other people. I can't believe she didn't call me in to help. Oh well at least the store got its audit over with. My shift went smooth tonight. Except not one drawer was counted for the whole day. So I counted all the drawers and had like a $1,800 dollar deposit. Well it's 4:30 a.m. and I have to work today at 3 p.m. Today will be a good day I'm sure at Taco Bell.

Taco Bell Shift Manager Natalie Goes Crazy
Well let me catch you all up to speed since I took some time off from posting about Taco Bell. Well I got Michael a friend of mine a job at Taco Bell. Well Michael called me to pick him up after his shift. Well when I walk into Taco Bell the place is a disaster area. Natalie purposely made it a mess. She also covered the cameras and stuffed tortilla shells into the drains on the floor. Well I left with Mike and came home and immediately called Evon and told her to get her ass to the store. I than ran out the door and headed back to the restaraunt. David, Natalie's boyfriend was there and had just gotten off work, I told him he had to leave the building and told Natalie I had called Evon. Well Natalie beat feet out of the door and left. Come to find out she sprayed degreaser all over every dish in Taco Bell. It took us 2 days to clean all of them. But we got it done and like I have to say it, but that was Natalie's last day working for Taco Bell. A lame, jackass way to leave a job. David is still working at Taco Bell, but I don't think it will be for too much longer. But there is a rumor Evon told Natalie in a few months she might call her back. That's a unconfirmed rumor. Natalie isn't allowed in the restraunt per Evon's order, so I can't think she would want her back.

I'm Learning The Deposits Tonight
Well, my first day as a Taco Bell shift manager in charge, also known as the MIC, was suppose to be on Tuesday. But, Natalie, the other shift manager said go ahead run the shift tonight. Well, so for the last 2 nights I have been the MIC. There is another Taco Bell shift manager who use to work that was there when I came in. She seems cool. But, Taco Bell shift manager Natalie has a problem with it. But, she has a problem with about anything and everyone there. She drives me nuts some nights. I like her as a person, but man she just always has something to complain about. She was barking about putting her 2 week notice in tonight. I don't see her being there past the summer. Either she will quit or probably be fired. I dont know which will come first. Now onto the next subject. We are one manager short. We were 2 and i got the first spot, so its narrowed down between 2 employees. One is Taco Bell employee Danyelle and the other is Taco Bell employee Christine. I actually don't have a opinion on who becomes a shift manager. I think that Evon our new Taco Bell General Manager may lean towards Christine, but I'm not sure. If Evon promotes Danyelle, Taco Bell employee David said he will put his 2 week notice in. They don't get along...lol. David is also dating Taco Bell shift manager Natalie. This could get real interesting in the next few weeks. I might go in at 6 a.m. to help Tom with all the morning stuff. I'm bored and he has a hell of a lot of backups.

My First Shift As A Taco Bell Manager In Charge
I will be getting my first (MIC) shift on Tuesday. I think I will have it all down by then. Thankfully Taco Bell shift manager Natalie will be there until 10pm. So, if I have any questions, she will be there to help. Now speaking of Taco Bell shift manager Natalie. There are some things she needs to do. She is getting way out of control on her complaining. Some manager from another store is coming up here, and like the girl hasnt even transfered here yet and Natalie's already complaining about it. Saying she is going to quit. I'm like Natalie, that attitude is the reason why you probably are going to lose the assistant manager position. Every shift she complains and moans about something that is totally stupid. Like who cares if some managers coming to the store. Why complain? She talks about the new manager as going to be drama, I was thinking you're starting drama about her and SHE ISN'T EVEN HERE YET! Hopefully things will calm down at my Taco Bell soon.
New Taco General Manager (Evon)
It has been confirmed by many people at work yesterday, our Taco Bell General Manager Jim will be moving to a new store next Saturday. So, they have promoted Taco Bell shift manager Evon to the stores General Manager. Congratulations to Evon. Now that I am in management, I will be distancing myself more from the drama. Just so you know Evon, I am happy for you, and if you need something, I totally respect you as my boss. I hope Natalie will too. Well anyway, I am here for you, when you need me.

Taco Bell Employee Michael
Well, I talked to my Taco Bell General Manager Jim, and talked him into hiring Michael. He hired Michael really without an interview, on my word he would be a good employee. I trained Michael on how to do backups his first day. Jim said he wants him trained on that before being trained on a cash register. Jim told me I'm the best backup person they have, so he wanted me to train him on that. I think he will have Taco Bell employee David train him on the cash register. Taco Bell shift manager Natalie will be leaving the closing shifts and going to days, since she will be our assistant manager. So with my new promotion, I will take over Natalie's closes. Now we just have to figure out who will be my new line person. People are saying David will be, but he is slow on line and will take some time. We got to get him trained fast in 2 weeks. Thats when all the changes are going to happen here at My Taco Bell.

New Taco Bell Shift Manager
Well, unfortunately my Taco Bell General Manager Jim had to replace the shift manager Karen who was fired yesterday. I still hate the fact she got fired for something so preventable. But, it turned out to be good news for me. Last night my Taco Bell General Manager Jim told me I am the new shift manager. He said he was going to have Mike (the owner) bring up my new shirts today, but its a good snow storm so it might not be today. Well I'm glad I was promoted, and hope all the others that were wanting the promotion won't be upset. But, I'm sure there will be some tension at my Taco Bell, since it's always that way when there's a promotion.

Taco Bell Shift Manager Karen Gets Fired
Well, I thought I would post about Taco Bell shift manager Karen. I guess last Thursday she screwed up. Well I was in the back doing the dishes, and there was a like 4 people in the lobby after close visiting Karen and stuff. Well one girl use to work there, and she wanted to order something to eat. Karen let her ring in her order and cash it out, even though she wasnt a Taco Bell employee. Well Taco Bell shift manager Natalie was there off duty and witnessed it. The cash drawer didnt come up short, but it was the principle of the matter. Well Taco Bell shift manager Natalie informed me tonight that tomorrow Jim, our General Manager is going to fire her tomorrow. It sucks big time, I liked Karen. Well good luck Karen, I wish the best for you. Love YAAAAA

I Can't Do Dishes At Taco Bell
Well the topic of this post is very fitting for most employees at Taco Bell. I had the pleasure of coming into work yesterday at 3pm, and to my surprise (actually wasn't a surprise) 1 sink of dishes had been done for the whole day. Now I don't mind this if it's a busy day at Taco Bell. But, I checked labor for the day up to 3pm, it was running at over 30%. I left a very nasty note to the mornng crew calling them flat out lazy for leaving me the dishes. I can't wait for me to go to Taco Bell today and hear their cop-out lazy excuse for not having them done. Should be funny to listen to.

Thanks And Heres A Potato Too
Well this is a old story, but I thought I would add it because its kinda funny. About 2 months ago I decided to throw a potato bite, thats in our cheesy fiesta potatos, at the drive thru guy. I don't recall what Taco Bell employee was working drive at the time. Well lets just say I remember why I wasn't a pitcher in little league. The potato flew past the Taco Bell employee and hit the wall, than richochets off the wall and flies out the drive thru window and hits the guy in the head thats sitting in his car at drive thru. What's the chance of that happening? LOL. Everyone, even the customer had a good laugh. Let's just say there hasn't been anymore potatos thrown at the Taco Bell drive thru guys since then.

A Common Ground At Taco Bell
Well after the Top secret Taco Bell meeting the other employees had about shift manager Natalie, Jim told everyone to cool it. Well that has lasted about all of a week. Things are definately coming to a boiling point at Taco Bell. The worst is, I like everyone there. It would be so easy to take sides on the issues they are having if I hated one of them. But, I don't. I am going to go have a talk with my Taco Bell General Manager Jim tomorrow. I hate seeing the whole crew at each others throats. Everyone is getting written up for things, that I feel are unwarranted. Also just to keep everyone up to speed Natalie has moved in with me as a roommate. Also Taco Bell employee David has started dating Natalie and has moved in too. So you can see how this is going to be a interesting month. Stay tuned for updates about the drama at my Taco Bell.

My Day Off At Taco Bell?
Well no it isnt my day off. Well it was suppose to be but, a employee cut his hand or hurt it somehow, so I hurried and jumped on that overtime bandwagon. It's only 4 hours anyway. But at almost 11 bucks an hour, I couldnt turn it down. Well time ti get in the shower and get ready for work at Taco Bell. I hope the other side of the drama queens doesnt give me grief today at Taco Bell.

Taco Bell Employees Top Secret Meeting
I was a little reluctant to put this post up, but I'm trying to keep my readers in the loop about my Taco Bell. Well as I haven't posted much these last few days, because actually it's been a tad drama free at my store for the last week. Was getting darn boring. But, my girls didn't fail me when I needed some writing material. Well here goes the gossip. I come into work yesterday, and as the first shifts leaving, I have a Shift Manager tell me that some Taco Bell employees are having a secret meeting about another shift manager. I won't say names, but if you're a regular reader of this blog, you will know who I'm talking about. So anyway, she leaves and all the sudden my shift manager asking what happened last night. I didn't know what she meant. Well she kinda layed into me a bit and I still didn't know what the hell she was talking about. Well she finally told me she knew about the secret meeting that was going on about her. I'm like I just found out 15 minutes ago, not last night. I'm like oh great. I didn't tell her, because I don't like getting in the middle of the crap. I don't mind it happening as long as I am not involved in it in anyway. So my Taco Bell shift manager is pissed and calls the stores General Manager about the meeting the other employees are having about her. Jim, our Taco Bell General Manager has no idea that they were having this meeting about one of his employees behind his back. So, now Jim's pissed, I think, because they did it behind his back. Well that's about it. Girls keeps it pretty entertaining at Taco Bell. I can't wait to see how works like today when i go in at 4:30 tonight. And just for the record, I did not tell anyone about the meeting. She already knew somehow. Don't miss my next post after work tonight. You know I'll have something more about the unfolding drama at my Taco Bell.
Taco Bell Drive Thru in 69 seconds?
Well I put this post up to maybe let people know about the 69 second rule. It is our store policy possibly even Taco Bell corporates policy, but we are suppose to have every drive thru order done and the person out of our drive thru in 69 seconds. It doesnt matter how much food they bought. So here is a plea to customers from me. Please, Please if your ordering enough food to feed your family and half of a 3rd world country, can you please come inside and order it. We actually had smeone order over 60 dollars worth of food in drive thru last night! Thats roughly between 60 and 70 items. We are still suppose to get that out in 69 seconds. Do you see what I'm getting at? Also if your looking for exact change, look for it at the Taco Bell menu board. Nothing sucks more than when someone orders only a soda and spends 80 seconds digging for change at the window and we don't even meet our 69 second goal for a soda. Although this blog is small and no one reads it, I hope maybe just 1 person who comes to Taco Bell in the future will help us out. Well on to the next post.

Taco Bell Pay Raises
Well I didnt mention last night my Taco Bell General Manager Jim told me on the way home last night that I would have another raise on my paycheck. Which would be 2 raises I got in one months time. I'm like cool. I have made myself a pretty good asset at my Taco Bell. I am about the only closer who can work the line. The only other closer who really can is Natalie my Taco Bell shift manager. With my 2 raises thats 80 more dollars a month I make at Taco Bell.

Taco Bell Tuesday
Well I closed with my Taco Bell general manager Jim tonight. He sure can work me. LOL. But, I only have to work a full shift with Jim one night a week. So I dont mind it too much busting my butt for him. Well it was a very slow shift tonight. So Jim decided we needed to clean behind some stuff. But, we managed to pull a bevelis out and smacked the monitor hanging from the ceiling and it fell and broke. LOL. So now we have to break our necks to see the other monitor when making food. Oops. Wonder what else I can break at Taco Bell tomorrow? I hope nothing.

Taco Bell's Super Employee
WEll I thought I would find something to annoy some felow co-workers with, without getting in trouble. So I came up with my Taco Bell Super Employee. I run around to someone I want to annoy and be like hey guess what, I'm a super-employee. LOL! I also call some of the other guys like Kyle a super employee so now he is running around saying whats up super employee james. It is a riot. My Taco Bell shift manager Natalie is totally annoyed by it. She just says shut up you ass. HaHa. Well there hasnt been too much drama this week at work. But, I do have two days off in a row, and I'm sure by the time I get back to Taco Bell on Tuesday I might hear some new news. Who knows whats coming next at Taco Bell.

Taco Bell Drive Thru
Well I thought I would make a post about our Taco Bell Drive Thru employee David. David is our regular drive thru guy. He prefers drive thru over any other position at the store. He probably has one of the best drive thru voices you can imagine when you come to a drive thru. He doesnt like to do the front cash and he doesnt work the line. He does clean our floors for us before he goes, which is a big help. After doing dishes for a few hours doing the floors just sucks. Glad he is there. I prefer him over most of the other cashiers that close. Well thats all for today. I have to go to work in 4 hours. Hopefully the DISHES will be done when I get there today. Yesterday was a mess at my Taco Bell.

Taco Bell Closing
Well I figured I would make a post about our close last night at Taco Bell. Well we got out of there on our scheduled time, but it was a strange night indeed. For one, as I was washing our guacamole gun, I broke the damn thing. No bi deal really, but we are going to be audited any day now and I was like crap, no gun and auditors will probably show up tomorrow. Well that was not all that happened at Taco Bell. We have a buzzer on our door so we can hear if someone comes in the store. Well around 11:15 last night the buzzer goes off. I'm doing the dishes, so as I walk around the corner to the front of the store to see who just came in, I see a guy going out of the store and setting our mop sign outside the store. He starts to come back in when I confront him. Well I pretty much was like, "what the fuck you doing in here"? "Get the fuck out of here punk"! Well anyway, some dumb little teenage punk was stealing our mop sign, he must have thought the store was empty. Well that was our excitement at our Taco Bell store last night. I have to be to work in 3 hours, I hope we don't get audited tonight. It will be a busy Friday night and I don't need a damn auditor up my ass the whole night at Taco Bell.

Taco Bell Pay Day
Well today is pay day at Taco Bell. Thank god since I spent my last money on cigarettes yesterday. Right now there is still some drama at Taco Bell, even after our meeting. Actually this Taco Bell Blog stirred up a little drama with my Taco Bell shift manager Natalie. She was a little upset about some previous posts. I will state things now on this post. One I was warned not to put anything controversial on this site. My commetn on that is this. I will not compromise my idea for this blog, nor will it be edited, or posts deleted because a Taco Bell employee does not like what they read. My advice for this is, just dont come and read this blog if you dont want the raw truth. Now, as far as posts go. It is how I feel for that day, or maybe even that week about work at Taco Bell. What I say about work related stuff does not mean it is how I see someone as a person. I do like Natalie. She is fun, and if I can ever get her to go out to a bar, I think we would have a blast. But, right now she has a boyfriend, named James. James is cool with me. So I dont want to get them fighting, since it seems they are going through some rough times right now. Well anyway. I added a RSS feed to my site today. Very excited about that. Hopefully within a year this blog will pay off. Well its 6:15am and the banks open in 2 hours. I think I'll go shower right now and go head to Taco Bell and hang out for a bit and grab my check.

Two Days Off At Taco Bell
Well my Taco Bell General Manager Jim was cool, and gave me two days off in a row. It is nice. I can spend the time working on all my websites. I try to make money off of these but it is just change right now. Hopefully I will get enough traffic to my sites to where I can quit working, and devote all my time to my sites and make more of them. There just isn't enough time in the day with work to do them all. I stopped in Taco Bell today to grab a soda on the way home. They looked like they were having a busy day today at Taco Bell.

Taco Bell's Quote Of The Day
Let me first explain what Taco Bell's quote of the day is. We have a board at work and some employee can write the quote of the day on it. Well we had some Taco Bell drama over yesterdays quote of the day. To make the story short, I made the quote bang bang bang bang! Well our little virgin horn ball Kyle wanted a illustrated version of the quote of the day. Well our Taco Bell shift manager Natalie decided to draw Kyle a picture of a naked woman. Well I told her to make sure it was erased before we left. Well she forgot and the opening shift manager was very upset from the picture. Well I came into work and heard people were a lot upset about the picture. I'm glad I didn't draw it. LOL! Well I am not getting close to the Taco Bell quote of the day board for awhile.
A Kick Ass Taco Bell Close
I just wanted to talk more about my Taco Bell Tuesday post I made. I wanted to elaborate on Natalie's meaning of constructive criticism. I'm sorry, but doing dishes in the middle of dinner rush and trying to show off to everyone like she is so much better than everyone else is a sham. I pace myself to Natalie's closes. But, I'm going to start showing her up. Enough Mr. nice guy. Time to start making some kick ass Taco Bell closes. I can close my part of Taco Bell in 45 minutes. Hope Natalie doesn't read my site anytime soon. I don't want to offend her. I am not hating her. She is a awesome person. I just don't think she has had much management experience. She doesn't know how to talk to a crew sometimes. Like last night. After our dinner rush, we all started talking to each other. Natalie says, with an attitude, why is everyone standing around. I wanted to say, because we just were busting our butts through a dinner rush while some people stayed in the back and did dishes, and were unwinding a bit. But I'm not the only one who can't take constructive criticism either at Taco Bell.
Taco Bell Tuesday
Well I worked on Tuesday night closing shift. Was a pretty good crew, Natalie(the shift manager), Kyle, David, and I. We tried hard to focus on drive-thru times last night at Taco Bell. We did better than usual I think. I asked Natalie why my boss had not made me a Taco Bell shift manager yet. To my surprise, she gave me some reasons. She says I need to take constructive criticism. I'm like okay. Me and Natalie traded closing duties last night. I ended up cleaning her hood fan that the Taco Bell General Manager asked her to get done last night. She had Kyle start it but we got busy then. Well anyway, she actually went and did dishes during dinner rush because, we had a extra person there. Than after she called me to the sink and showed me no dishes after the rush, and said "see this is how the sink area is suppose to look". I'm like well "I don't have the luxury of doing it during a dinner rush, because I'm always online". Which is true. I make most of the food at Taco Bell. I doing the steaming. She just sounded like a ass because she knows I cant leave the line and go do dishes like she did until later in the night when it is slow. It was just retarded. I ended up beating her close last night. Even though I don't ever close the line I closed it, cleaned her hood fan and just nit picked around to find stuff to do, so she didn't feel like I was faster than her closing. Well thank god I get a little change and get to close with Taco Bell shift manager Karen tonight. Karen's fun to work with, she doesn't have a power tripping broom stick up her ass, like some Taco Bell shift managers who are bucking for assistant manager.

Taco Bell Closes
I just finished closing shift tonight at Taco Bell with my General Manager Jim. I like closing on Tuesdays with him, it lets me have work time with my boss, and lets him see if I'm improving at all as a Taco Bell employee. Well things went well tonight. We had the store closed in an hour and 15 minutes. I almost asked him tonight whats stopping me from becoming a Taco Bell shift manager on my ride home tonight. But, I was like, I'm not going to pressure him about it. He has enough pressures coming from the girls. So I will just wait and see if he thinks i deserve to be a Taco Bell shift manager.

My Day Off At Taco Bell
Well today was my day off work at Taco Bell. But, I ended up going in for 3 hours anyway. Taco Bell employee Christine called in today so I went in for a few hours. I knew she was going to call into work today, because she told me last night. So I called my Taco Bell General Manager Jim around noon and asked him if Christine had called in. He was like yeah wanna come in at 4. I'm like sure. Was a easy, short shift at Taco Bell tonight. Jim did confirm the rumor he was leaving, kinda. He said it will be a few months before he goes.
A New Taco Bell General Manager?
Well the rumor mill was churning hard at work yesterday. The word is out among a select few employees that our General Manager Jim is leaving. I guess there have been a few firings at other Taco Bell stores and so Jim may transfer. Well that's just good news to the two Taco Bell shift managers that are wanting to be promoted. I have a feeling that more drama could be right around the corner at my Taco Bell.
The Taco Bell Store Meeting Continued
Well we had our Taco Bell meeting Saturday. It was a decent meeting. A lot of not really paying attention to the General Manager in my opinion. But he tried and I tried to add a few comments in to help but I think most just took my comments at the Taco Bell meeting like a grain of salt. I heard a comment by my General Manager, and I'll make it the topic of the next post. I don't have to work at Taco Bell today, so hopefully I can get some of my other websites done today.

Taco Bell Meeting Concluded
Well we had our Taco Bell meeting today and everything went pretty good. No big arguments, so now if there are still problems with employees its discipline time. Well I'm exhausted and got 5 hours sleep and got to go to work. Well til next time. Hopefully it will be a good day at Taco Bell.
Taco Bell Store Meeting
Our Taco Bell store here in Pollock Pines, is having a store meeting this morning at 7am. It's A mandatory store meeting for all the Taco Bell employees. I had to close the store last night, so I decided to just stay up all night. I didn't get out of the store til midnight, so instead of going to bed and possibly missing the meeting, I decided to stay awake. I also have to work tonight as well. I should get 2 hours overtime for the day, which is nice. Well I hope all the drama and just overall crappiness that has been lingering over us gets settled today. This should be a funny meeting if Evon and Natalie(both shift managers wanting to be the assistant) start arguing over their petty differences. I don't think it will happen but it could be entertaining. LOL. Well I'll make a short post after the meeting to let you guys know how it went at out Taco Bell meeting.

Friday At Taco Bell
Well I'm about to go into work today. I hope there wont be any surprises when I get there, like someone called in. This store isn't that bad about call-ins. But it is winter, we'll see how it is in the summer time when people wanna get out and do things. Well off to work, I'll let everyone know how the day goes when I get back home tonight.

Taco Bell Shift Manager Is Crazy
I could not believe, my Taco Bell shift manager was going to let our cashier leave for an hour today at 5pm. Right before our dinner rush. I was hell no! How are we going to deal with a dinner rush with no front cashier? Was crazy, I had to yell about it to her and the employee. It got heated a bit, but I ended up getting my way. I was not going to try and go through a rush without a front cashier. the cashier went home at 7 anyway and we still were getting hit. Was not a good day today at Taco Bell.

Taco Bell Employee (Jim)
Well this is a introduction to Taco Bell employee Jim. Jim Is our Restaurant General Manager. The big cheese at work. LOL. Jim is easy to get along with. Cool guy, but he is the General Manager of our Taco Bell, and has a job to do. I think a lot of employees at work forget that its his ass if the store looks like garbage when the owner comes in. I'm not going to post anymore about employees, I'm going to start with my everyday at Taco Bell.
Wednesday, February 02, 2005
Taco Bell Employee (Brandon)
Well this will probably be the only post about Taco Bell employee Brandon. Brandon has quit Taco Bell, but he is worth a post. I have only been working at Taco Bell for about two months and Brandon was there when I started. He was one of the closers, and was just a awsome employee. He was fun, got along with everyone, did his job, and was just overall a nice guy. I might buy his car off of him when I get my income tax return. Brandon moved to another town trying to find his place in life. I wish him the best. We have a freezer in our restraunt the size of a coffin that stands vertical. Someone wrote, "This will be forever be Brandons office." LOL. He will be missed, I hope he does well with his life choices, he deserves it.
Taco Bell Employee (Natalie)
Well this will be a introduction to Taco Bell employee Natalie. She is a Taco Bell shift manager. I work five nights a week with Natalie. She is my favorite shift manager. I'm sure I am bias just because I work with her five nights a week. She is one of the shift managers up for Taco Bell assistant manager. My General Manager Jim has not mentioned who or when he might promote someone. The other shift manger up for the assistant spot is Evon. Well good luck to both of them, I hope whoever isn't chose doesnt become upset. We have a Taco Bell store meeting on the 12th of February. We might find something out then. I'll post more about Natalie in other posts after i get all the employees posted at least once.
Tuesday, February 01, 2005
Taco Bell Employee (Karen)
Well this is a introduction to Taco Bell employee Karen. She is one of the Taco Bell shift managers. She has been working for Taco Bell for about six years. She is a really laid back manager, who is easy to get along with. She is helping me with my Book I have to finish to be certified. We worked on it a little tonight even. Well thanks for the help tonight Karen, and for drying my book off. LOL. She makes working at Taco Bell fun.
Monday, January 31, 2005
Taco Bell Employee (Christine)
This is a introduction to Taco Bell employee Christine. She is a regular crew member like Nick and I. She is the other one I mentioned in Nicks post about possibly being the next shift manager. She worked tonight with us, which was a busy damn day. She for the last week, that I've noticed, has really been kicking ass. I personally think that she is probably the best and most qualified to be the next shift manager at Taco Bell. I did have some bad vibes after my first week about her, but lately I must admit she is doing a damn good job, and I can't think of one thing to bitch about. LOL. Good job Christine! I will let everyone know if she becomes the next shift manager at Taco Bell. Great job on the dishes tonight.
Taco Bell Employee (Nick)
I will talk about each employee seperately. I started with Nick(crew member), because I promised him I would put something up about him tonight. I let most the staff know at work about this website. Well anyway, Nick is a crew member who has worked at Taco Bell for about 8 months. He's is seventeen years old, I didnt ask, but I suspect this is his first job. Hats off to Nick, not too many young men his age stay at fast food places like Taco Bell very long. Well Nick isnt into the drama of late thats been going around work. He told me I hate drama, I just come here to make money. Anyway, Nick is wanting to become a shift manager, since we had the one shift maneger walk out a few weeks ago. From what I'm told there are three people in contention for shift manager. Me, Nick, and a girl named Christine. I will talk more about Nick and his work at Taco Bell in future posts. This is just A introduction to Taco Bell employee Nick.

Taco Bell Management
Well ok, I will explain the drama from my previous post. Well my restraunt General Manager(Jim) is a cool boss. He does not have a restraunt manager, so he is going to have to decide soon who he wants out of the crew to be the RM. Well theres a shift manager Natalie, who is wanting the job bad. Well if you ever worked in a fast food enviroment, you know what comes next. Anyway, we have shift managers at each others throats, really its kinda like all the shift managers and a new employee are all ganging up on Natalie, hoping to, I dont know, get her in trouble with Jim. And, lucky me Natalie is the closing manager and guess who is the closing employee. Yep me. So I'm getting drawn into the drama as well, just because I work 5 nights a week at Taco Bell with Natalie. Well this weeks complaining is labor. I admit I clocked in alittle early to get some extra time, but after I got to work today I told Evan(another shift manager) that I wasnt staying late at work on purpose, it just took me that long to close. I told her I would not clock in early anymore because I dont want to get in trouble. I really wanted to let her know, dont draw me into the manager fighting between Natalie and the others, just because i work her shift. I will address each manager in seperate posts. What a week at Taco Bell.
Taco Bell In Pollock Pines
Well I have not posted anything about Taco Bell recently, so I guess I should make one. Well there has been a lot of drama as of late at my job. I will explain more on my next posted named Taco Bell Management.

Taco Bell
Well has it been a crazy last 2 days at Taco Bell. During a recent winter rush of people coming home from Lake Tahoe, Nevada it went total drama at Taco Bell. First off, it was my day off of work and they called me in to work a 4 to 9 shift. Well I get there and they tell me im working CS today. Which is front cashier, which I had never done before, I've only worked line. I am still new, I've only been working at Taco Bell for like 3 weeks. Well, lucky me we got slammed big time. Than right in the middle of the slam, this shift manager(Bryan), decided to get pissed off and, stops working line and clocks out and leaves, and quits just like that. This was the guy who was going to be the new assistant manager too. Well he quit right than and there. Well I ended up working a 4 to 10:30 shift that night.Taco Bell was definately not my favorite place that day.
